Sea Shepherd is an international organization dedicated to protecting biodiversity and marine ecosystems. As the world's only marine conservation organization with its own fleet and thousands of volunteers, Sea Shepherd takes action against illegal activities and courageously intervenes when marine wildlife is in distress.
Their work puts an end to poaching, ensures the enforcement of conservation laws and prevents the destruction of marine habitats. In Germany, one focus is the fight against marine pollution onshore and at sea. With the BALTIC SEA CAMPAIGN, Sea Shepherd Deutschland is actively contributing to the protection of the Baltic Sea. In the last two years, more than six tonnes of ghost nets and other fishing gear have already been removed from the sea. Activists of the organization will be on site, informing about their work and the campaigns.
