Founder & Director, HIKANOE
After Norman Siehl already spent a great part of his childhood outdoors, hiking not only became an important part of his free time but also of his job. Years ago he made his first 100 km hike in 24 hours and was immediately infected by this challenge. Meanwhile he has founded and also leads the hiking club, 'Wanderverein Dahme-Seenland e.V.'. In addition, Norman is 'Kreiswegewart' for the district of Dahme-Spreewald and in 2019 there was the first self-organized 24-hour hike. In 2020 the continuation over the long distance of 100 km will follow.
For Norman, also water plays an important role during hiking and so his passion, packrafting, arose. His plan is to increase the awareness of this cool sport. The boats which are light as feathers of naturally have their place in the outdoor and bushcraft scene. But they can also turn the afternoon into a micro-adventure or the journey to the beach bar into something special. Norman will tell you more about the many possibilities in his talk.
