Cook & Farmer
Jakob Haller is a cook and farmer. During 10 years of traveling the world, Jakob worked in different restaurants and got to know many different cultures, but his way led him back to his hometown. His daily work with fresh ingredients drew his attention to the fact that the key to quality food lies in the soil, which sparked his interest in agriculture.
When Jakob returned to South Tyrol, his path led him to the farm of his girlfriend's family. Here they had the opportunity to transform a small piece of land, which used to be a conventional apple garden, into a regenerative, profitable system. They market the vegetables, herbs and fruit directly on the farm, whether fresh or processed into small delicacies. In addition to working on the farm, he founded a small catering company to act out his love of cooking.
