Alexander Agethle spent his early years in the Alps and Apennines mountaineering, climbing and ski touring, which he fortunately survived. Alexander studied agriculture in Florence, spent a year off in California, and he financed his studies through summer jobs on various alpine pastures in Switzerland.
He gained his first work experience at the Alpine Research Institute in Garmisch until he realised that he wanted to get hands on. First in war-torn Kosovo in 1999-2004, then as a trainer for small farmers in the Alpine region until he took over his parents' business in 2003. In between, there is always time for cultural engagement, because without culture there is no good cheese.
