Save the Children Deutschland e. V.

Helping children in need for over 100 years
Save the Children is the world’s leading independent children’s organization. For nearly 100 years our priorities have been determined solely by the needs of children, not by any political, religious or commercial affiliations. We do whatever it takes to save children, and you can help, visit our team.

Shortly after the World War I, in 1919, Save the Children was founded in Great Britain by the teacher Eglantyne Jebb and initially supported children in Germany. Today, the organization works in more than 120 countries worldwide.
Save the Children has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and supports the international campaign to ban landmines, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997.

At the World Explorer listening station, you can listen to stories from children and families from Kenya and learn how Save the Children is helping children to have a better future in a sustainable way.
