A Journey through the Dead Heart of Africa: Chad

Chad is a land of extremes. It’s location at the centre of the continent, coupled with its harsh climate, has earned it the title: The Dead Heart of Africa. It is one of the least developed countries in the world, and listed amongst the countries that the Europeans least likely to visit. In his high energy adventure filled talk, explorer and filmmaker Reza Pakravan will take the audience on an incredible journey around Chad to some of the most extreme and dangerous places on earth and share the tails of ordinary people who call Chad their home: from Sexually liberated (polygamous) Wodaabe Nomads to Tribes of lake Chad, beauty of African Savannah to harshness of the Sahelian belt.
