On his journeys, he is more concerned with the experience than the ride. For him, being on the road always comes before athletic performance, and the end of his competitive career lies far in the past. As a riding technique trainer and tour guide, he travels around the globe. Gerhard prefers to sit on his bike than in the car or in the office. In addition to cycling, the nature lover is also very active in mountain sports. His experience in both areas is what makes many of his bike expeditions possible in the first place.
